Security Screen Doors
The most vulnerable parts of our home is the front door. Without the right type of lock and a strong door burglars can break in and harm your family and steal your belongings. There are several different things that you are able to do to change this. Unfortunately not all of us can afford a high tech alarm system or fingerprint door locks. Instead we will use the security screen doors.
These are made just like the old fashioned screen doors except that instead of wood they are usually made with strong metals. These are designed with a grille on the outer portion of the door. This part is normally constructed with steel, cast iron, and other types of durable metals. This makes it near to impossible for anyone to break through the mesh or glass panels.
None of us want something boring, tacky, or scary on our doors. It will not add value to the home if you put this up and it has bars running across the length of it. That is why manufacturers will give the grille and unique design that will match any home. It is something that is practical – but it will look great at the same time.
The grille is not the only thing that protects your home from invasion. It is also designed with additional hinges that will make it sturdy and hard for anyone to try to remove it from the frame. These too are normally made with galvanized metals. The lock on the door is made up of durable materials that will provide an additional amount of protection akin to any quality door lock you might use.
These are a great deal heavier than the average screen door and can withstand even the harshest weather conditions. These will cost you anywhere between $100 to $300 per door. If you have the right tools and an extra hand you should be able to install it yourself.
