Door Safety Sensors

There are a variety of electronics that we are able to use – which will help to prevent people from breaking into our home. There are also certain items that help to alert us immediately and will prevent things from opening or closing on us. These door safety sensors can be used on the front and back doors, windows, and the garage door.

Door And Window Safety Sensors

The door and window safety sensors usually can be purchased along with the standard alarm system that is installed in your home. When ADT or any other large security company installs the system you will have the option to place a sensor on every window and door in your home.

Anytime one of these are opened when the alarm is not armed you will hear a small ‘beep’. When the alarm is armed it will go off when the sensor has been tripped. If you do not wish to spend a few hundred dollars on the whole system than you can opt instead to purchase the sensors separately. These will cost between $15 to $100.

They are designed with a magnetic sensor technology and can be used in your home or office. Each one are easy to set up without any professional installation and even easier to operate.

Garage Door Safety Sensor

The garage door is an entryway for criminals even if we do not think so at first. Unfortunately they can also be dangerous to those who do not use them properly. Young kids as well as adults are known to be hit by the doors as they are closing. In order to avoid this problem you need to install these sensors.

Most garage door systems will make these available with them. They use a sensor beam that stretches across the bottom of the doorway where people will walk through. When anything is blocking it the door will not stop. If someone tries to walk through it when it is going down it will stop and then go back up. These units will cost between $30 to $40.
