Cost Of Alarm Systems
Home security systems are important to have if you are worried about intruders trying to break into your home. These systems help to keep intruders away when no one is in the home or even when you are sleeping and you feel the most vulnerable. With the right system you will have a peace of mind in knowing that your family is protected.
The best way to find the right security system is to research the various prices that you will have to pay. There are two common types of systems; wireless and hardwired.
The wireless system is much more affordable because the installation takes half the time. You may only spend between $70 to $100 for each sensor that is placed along the doors and windows. The installation will cost more and any additional motion sensor will cost an additional $50 to $100. The downside to this is that it is much more vulnerable than the other systems.
The hardwired systems are much more expensive – but they are also the most reliable and dependable. These will usually cost between $90 to $130 per door and window sensor. You will pay between $110 to $130 for each motion sensor you wish to use. Add this plus the cost of installation and you could spend anywhere between $1,000 to $2,000.
Monthly Price
Some people are content with the basic system in which a shrill alarm will be triggered when one of the sensors has been tripped. This can help to keep the intruder out – but for some people it is not enough. With a monitoring system the alarm company will be able to tell what the problem is by the press of a button on your end. When they have been notified they will call the police, fire department, or an ambulance. This service will usually cost between $20 to $50 a month.
